The University of Denver is a private institution dedicated to the public good. Here, we create a better future for all.

Through the 4D Experience, our community members build skills, knowledge and perspective at our campuses nestled in the vibrant city of Denver and the Rocky Mountains. As globally-minded citizens, we strive to make a difference in the world and create real, lasting change through collaborations and cutting-edge research designed to solve real-world challenges. For over 150 years, DU has offered a multitude of disciplines, majors and degrees designed to prepare students for lives and careers of purpose.

Career & Professional Development (CPD) empowers students and alumni to explore, prepare for, and pursue meaningful careers through personalized guidance, experiential learning, and employer engagement. Its purpose is to bridge academic experiences with professional opportunities, fostering lifelong career success and industry connections. CPD is one of five offices on campus providing career development services to a diverse community of DU students and alumni. CPD serves all the undergraduate programs (except the Daniels College of Business), College of Professional Studies, multiple graduate programs, and alumni not served by the other career services offices on campus.

As part of the University’s strategic goal to prepare students for the future of work, and in alignment with the innovative 4-Dimensional student experience, the University of Denver is increasing focus on experiential and work-based learning. The Experiential Learning team within Career & Professional Development (CPD) will offer programs and services to help students achieve their career-related experiential learning goals and will prepare faculty and staff to support them.
