Dermatology Project Specialist

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Project Specialist provides administrative, operational, and logistical support for departmental projects and initiatives. This position assists with the planning, coordination, tracking, and implementation of projects to ensure activities are completed in accordance with established timelines, objectives, and departmental priorities. The Project Specialist works closely with project leaders, department management, internal staff, and external stakeholders to facilitate communication, maintain project documentation, coordinate meetings, monitor project progress, and support the successful execution of project goals. The Project Specialist supports project implementation and process improvement efforts by maintaining schedules, tracking deliverables, preparing reports, and helping ensure project milestones are achieved efficiently and effectively.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree required
• 1-3 years of project coordination, administrative support, operations, healthcare administration, business administration, or related experience required
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and time management skills
• Accurate data entry and recordkeeping abilities
• Experience using project management or workflow tracking software preferred

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate’s geographical location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/ training and other qualifications.
