COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Rancher Government Solutions (RGS) is specifically designed to address the unique security and operational needs of the U.S. Government and military as it relates to application modernization, containers, and Kubernetes.

Rancher is a complete open-source software stack for teams adopting containers. It addresses the operations and security challenges of managing multiple Kubernetes clusters at scale, while providing DevOps teams with integrated tools for running containerized workloads.

RGS supports all Rancher products with U.S. based American citizens with the highest security clearances who are currently supporting programs across the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and civilian agencies.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide executive oversight of all NatSec client implementation and integration projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

• Ensure the successful execution of complex security requirements and compliance for container environments, CI/CD, and Kubernetes initiatives.

• Develop and execute the overarching strategy for the NatSec services organization, aligning with company goals for revenue growth and product adoption.

• Own the P&L for the National Security Professional Services division, including capacity planning and resource utilization to ensure profitability and sustained growth.

• Manage the services budget, optimize pricing models, and ensure the team meets or exceeds its margin targets.

• Forecast resource needs and lead hiring initiatives to maintain an optimally skilled team capable of meeting forecasted demand.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of DevSecOps Engineers and Consulting Architects (Senior, Mid, and Associate), fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability.

• Refine and enforce world-class delivery methodologies and best practices to drive consistency across air-gapped and on-premise platforms.

• Implement metrics and reporting for delivery quality, including project health, on-time completion, and client satisfaction (CSAT).

• Serve as the key executive sponsor for high-value and complex client implementations, providing liaison to executive-level customer leadership.

• Partner closely with Sales during the pre-sales process to scope services and ensure a smooth handoff to the delivery team.

• Act as an advocate for NatSec customers by communicating critical feedback regarding feature requests and mission-specific use cases to internal Product Management and Engineering teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Requires an active TS//SCI Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP).

• 10+ years of professional or military experience, with a proven track record in professional services leadership or senior-level field engineering.

• Deep understanding of DevSecOps, Kubernetes, and container orchestration within highly secured or air-gapped environments.

• Demonstrated experience managing high-performing technical teams and owning P&L responsibilities for a services organization.

• Excellent executive-level communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical strategy to diverse stakeholders.
