Product Internship August/Sept. 2026

For our office in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Product Intern who want to participate as a full team member, working on a handful of our projects, contributing creatively and through their work.

What kind of tasks?
As a practice that has more than 30 years of building experience. You will learn not only how to design, but also how Product Design is created and realized a. Our knowledge and craftsmanship are strong pillars of our company.
During your internship, you will assist during the concept-, sketch-, and design development processes. Here you will learn and experience envisioning, diagrams, creating, detailing and realizing complex assignments by transferring them into practice.

Also, you will get the opportunity to maintain customer relationship and how it is integrated into our Projects. Your skills will develop during the internship, as you are closely involved with our projects. The Senior Product Designers guide you through the process, where you learn the newest design methods, which will be practiced in your future career as a Product Designer.

What would be my impact as an intern?
During your internship, you will be part of a team that builds knowledge, undertakes research, creates product design related to architecture and beyond. Uses design skills in order to future-proof our projects. From our Poltrona Frau, Node+ Sofa for Lacividina, to our Doraff for Alessi and our 344 doorhandle for Hafi in our Four Frankfurt Project, our interns have impact. You will be part of a team in which you will provide your knowledge and skills for future-proof product developments.

We believe that the key to ‘future-proofing the future’ is knowledge. Therefore, we will teach you during the internship to understand the most up to date trends and practices in product design and beyond. Our mission to producing user-centric designs that are adaptive, resilient and future-proof, and every employee should embrace these aspects in their work. You will be working in a multi-disciplinary studio, where Product Designers works close with Architects / Interior Architects and Creative Strategist. Where through Workshops, Sprints and Collaborative Design Exercises with our Clients, we develop the right solutions for the challenges we encounter.

To top things off:
UNS organizes events for all of our employees, such as bi-annual conferences, lectures from designers and ‘lunch & learn’ sessions to explore craft and materials, sport events, and of course the summer & winter events. All of which are an informal and open method of getting to know other colleagues, as well as learning about architectural innovations.
