The Revenue and Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing UOVO Wine’s revenue recognition, accounts receivable, collections, compliance, and internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and strong cash flow performance. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding revenue integrity, maintaining regulatory compliance, and optimizing working capital. The position collaborates cross-functionally with sales, operations, and accounting leadership to drive accountability, transparency, and continuous process improvement. The Revenue and Compliance Manager will report to the Senior Director of Accounting and Finance. The position will be in-office to start, with the opportunity for a hybrid schedule.

 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee revenue recognition processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606).
  • Create or update internal controls over revenue and related processes, as needed.
  • Collaborate with billing and sales teams to review contracts for proper revenue recognition terms.
  • Conduct periodic audits and reviews of revenue transactions and financial records to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Oversee the full accounts receivable lifecycle, including billing accuracy, cash application, aging analysis, and collections management.
  • Lead and manage the collections process to ensure timely payment of invoices and maintain accounts receivable within acceptable aging targets.
  • Proactively monitor A/R aging reports, identify delinquent accounts, and partner with operations and business development to resolve disputes and accelerate cash flow.
  • Enforce credit policies and escalation procedures to minimize bad debt exposure.
  • Analyze trends in collections performance and recommend strategies to improve cash conversion and working capital efficiency.
  • Ensure refunds and disputed payments are properly reported and the impact on revenue is accurately recorded.
  • Ensure billing corrections/modifications are processed timely and correctly.
  • Drive process improvements in revenue operations and compliance monitoring.
  • Train and support billing team members on compliance standards and revenue policies.
  • Tactfully and professionally interact with high-net-worth clients.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws and regulations related to sales tax filings and reporting.
  • Contribute to other projects and initiatives as requested.

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Advanced skill with computers, especially with Microsoft Office 365

Education, Experience and/or Certifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 3 - 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial compliance, or audit
  • Experience in public accounting is preferred
  • Working knowledge of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606)
  • Proficiency in ERP Systems (preference of Sage Intacct and Salesforce), as well as Microsoft Excel

 

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Stripe payment processing
  • Familiarity with compliance software tools
  • Proven leadership and team management experience

 


Compensation Details:

Salary commensurate with experience.
