Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement strategies for efficient material procurement, inventory management, and storage.
    • Oversee the ordering of materials, ensuring optimal stock levels and timely delivery to meet production demands.
    • Manage the planning, forecasting, and replenishment of raw materials and components.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms.
    • Monitor material quality and resolve any issues with suppliers or vendors.
    • Coordinate the transportation and delivery of materials and finished goods to meet production deadlines.
    • Implement and monitor inventory control measures to prevent stockouts, overstocking, or loss of materials.
    • Develop detailed procurement plans for raw materials and contract-manufactured components in alignment with production schedules.
    • Oversee the timely procurement of contract manufacturing services to ensure components are available as needed for assembly and production.
    • Negotiate contracts and pricing with third-party manufacturers and ensure compliance with agreed terms.
    • Maintain relationships with contract manufacturers to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and on-time delivery of components.
    • Lead and manage a team of materials staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to company standards.
    • Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance skills and increase productivity.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across departments.
