We deliver culturally responsive, accessible mental health services to children, youth, and families while providing system leadership and advocating to improve care in our community.
Position Summary:
Are you ready to shape the future of child and youth mental health services in a dynamic, people-first organization? Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, the Clinical Manager provides leadership in clinical supervision to health professionals working in interdisciplinary teams delivering community-based and intensive mental health programs and services. Our compassionate and experienced staff provide high quality mental health treatment to children with complex social, emotional, and mental health needs using a trauma informed approach.
The Clinical Manager will have a strong commitment to quality and will plan, implement, and evaluate clinical programs and services, participate in quality improvement projects, and collaborate with community partners to build a responsive system for children, youth, and families requiring mental health treatment and supports.
Education/Training/Experience:
- A master’s degree in social work or a related field.
- Preferred 5 years of experience providing clinical supervision within children’s mental health services.
- Member in good standing with a regulated professional college recognized by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO, OCSWSSW, CNO, COTO, CPBAO, CPSO).
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a unionized environment, including implementation of human resource policies and practices.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and support high-performing interdisciplinary teams while serving as a clinical resource and mentor.
- Experience in team leadership, change management, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of program planning, development, implementation, and evaluation.
- French-English proficiency or other languages is an asset.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams).
Role and Responsibilities:
- Oversees the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of individualized service and treatment plans for children, youth, and families receiving services within assigned programs.
- Provides clinical leadership, coaching, and supervision to both direct and indirect reports.
- Provides operational and clinical coverage as required for direct service workers.
- Leads program development and continuous quality improvement initiatives to ensure services remain responsive to the evolving needs of children, youth, and families.
- Participates in and promotes a collaborative interdisciplinary approach to assessment, treatment planning, and service delivery.
- Builds and maintains strong partnerships with community partners to coordinate integrated supports and resources.
- Represents the organization through active participation in internal committees, community networks, and inter-agency collaborations.
Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Specialized training in a variety of treatment modalities that are consistent and integrated within Vanier’s Service Delivery Framework
- 2 Step TB test
- Broad Record Check
Schedule:
- 35-hour work week
- Monday- Friday
- Participates in on call rotation after 6 months of employment (approximately once every 8 weeks)
