Varda was founded in January 2021 by Will Bruey and Delian Asparouhov with significant backing from world class investors including Khosla Ventures, Lux Capital, Founders Fund, Caffeinated Capital, General Catalyst, and Also Capital.  

Varda is headquartered in El Segundo, California, where we have offices and a production facility where our vehicles, equipment, and materials are built, integrated, and tested. Varda also has offices in Washington, DC and Huntsville, AL.

• →Own the end-to-end procure-to-pay (P2P) process, ensuring timely procurement, invoice processing, and vendor payments.
• →Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance to support purchasing decisions, project execution, and operational priorities.
• →Review purchase requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and receipts to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies.
• →Manage vendor relationships, resolve invoice discrepancies, negotiate payment terms when appropriate, and serve as a primary point of contact for procurement-related inquiries.
• →Perform three-way matching and resolve pricing, receiving, and invoice exceptions in partnership with internal stakeholders.
• →Analyze procurement spending, vendor performance, and payment trends to identify cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
• →Lead continuous improvement initiatives that streamline procurement and AP workflows through automation, standardization, and improved system utilization.
• →Support month-end close activities including AP accruals, reconciliations, vendor statement reviews, and audit preparation.
• →Assist with annual budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and spend analysis related to procurement activities.
• →Maintain internal controls, documentation, and audit-ready records while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• →Participate in ERP enhancements, process implementations, and finance systems improvements as the company scales.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Procurement, Accounts Payable, Procurement Operations, Financial Operations, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of procure-to-pay processes, invoice management, vendor reconciliation, and purchasing operations.
• Experience working within ERP systems such as Microsoft Business Central, Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or similar.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing deadlines while maintaining exceptional accuracy.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across technical and non-technical teams.

• Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
• Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

• Salary range: $80,000 - 120,000/per year
• Leveling and base salary is determined by job-related skills, education level, experience level, and job performance
• This role is on-site in El Segundo, CA
