Associate Scientist II, Analytical Development

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline with 2+ years, or Master’s degree with 1+ years of relevant laboratory experience in analytical development, QC, or related field.
Vaxcyte is looking for an energetic and talented individual to join our analytical development team. The primary responsibilities for the successful candidate will include method development, sample testing, analyzing data, and authorizing protocols and reports.
- Assist in analytical method development of new assays.
- Perform analytical testing, data analysis and present in team meetings.
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of laboratory work.
- Support daily lab operations, sample inventory and sample shipment.
- Author analytical documents including but not limited to test method, protocols, and reports.
Requirements
~1 min read- BS in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry preferred, Organic / Biochemistry considered, with 2+ years of relevant industry experience, or MS with 1+ years of experience. Other combinations of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Experience in chemical and biological assays such as colorimetric/ fluorometric microplate assays, PCR/qPCR, HPLC, CE, UV-Vis, ELISA and LC-MS.
- Understanding of basic principles of analytical method development/ validation/ qualification concepts.
- Attention to detail and excellent skills in record keeping/documentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written formats.
- This position is a lab-based role and requires onsite presence.
Work Arrangement: Onsite (5 days per week)
