This position is based in our Reston, VA office and offers a hybrid work schedule.

Verisign is hiring a Sourcing & Procurement Specialist.  In this role you will perform procurement activities which includes review of incoming requests, identifying sourcing opportunities, managing and leading competitive bid requests, and evaluation of supplier bids. 

This position is instrumental in achieving business objectives across price, quality, service and compliance which follows established policies, programs and procedures that enhance operational efficiencies and promote cost effectiveness and standardization.

The Sourcing & Procurement Specialist has regular interaction and engagement with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders on procurement-related activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide procurement support for various types of requests including but not limited to requests for sourcing, contracts for new or existing suppliers, amendments, NDAs, contract terminations, and other types of requests assigned
  • Review and analyze requests and supports procurement related activities
  • Manage the sourcing and competitive bidding process for medium complexity and sized purchases in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine optimal suppliers and best value
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and align on negotiations strategies
  • Conduct negotiations with suppliers for scope areas managed by procurement (e.g., pricing, availability, delivery dates, etc.)
  • Provide support for various special projects and continuous process improvement initiatives across procurement including but not limited to sourcing processes and procurement reviews and assessments
  • Provide actionable recommendations for ongoing procurement process improvement, and leads the execution of various medium complexity initiatives
  • Follow established acquisition policies, programs and procedures that enhance operational efficiencies and promote cost effectiveness including standardization where possible
  • Ensure accurate business system data input and integrity
  • Maintain purchasing-related documentation, the status of purchases in progress in various enterprise-wide systems (e.g. Procurement ERP, intake or general work management systems)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years sourcing and procurement experience
  • Proficient in use of enterprise tools and technologies (e.g. procurement and/or financial management systems, contracts repository)
  • Advanced Data Analysis and Excel skills

The pay range is $89,900 - $121,700.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience. Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.
