About the Role
~1 min readWe are looking for an exceptional People Partner (sometimes known externally as HR Business Partners) to join our growing People team. This is a pivotal role as a People Partner in our New York City office, providing you with a unique opportunity to shape and drive people strategies in a fast-scaling environment.
As a People Partner, you will work closely with the GTM teams and their executive leadership to develop and execute people strategies that enhance performance, growth, and employee engagement. From advising on employee relations to building career development programs, you’ll play a crucial role in creating an outstanding employee experience.
This role offers a high degree of autonomy, requiring a proactive, strategic thinker who is eager to drive impactful people initiatives.
Responsibilities

- →Problem-solve and implement strategic programs to help your department scale and meet its business goals -- such as leadership enablement and coaching, analyzing compensation levels, building career paths, professional development, retention strategy, and performance management.
- →Analyze data across various sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- →Coach managers to enhance their leadership capabilities, fostering high-performing and engaged teams.
- →Provide guidance on complex employee relations matters, investigations, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally sound resolutions.
- →Drive cross-company programs to benefit our entire employee base.
- Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or Master's degree is a plus.
- 8+ years experience -- HR/People Business Partner experience or adjacent role.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and align People initiatives with business objectives, translating strategy into plans for execution.
- Data-driven decision maker & strong problem solver who can find root causes of issues and gain leadership support to address them.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.

Pay Disclosure
At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate’s skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. This estimate can vary based on the factors described above, so the actual starting base pay may be above or below this range. Base pay is also just one component of Verkada’s total rewards package. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).
