Senior Backend Engineer - Camera Foundation

The Camera Foundation team is on a mission to develop and enhance the software infrastructure supporting our cloud camera ecosystem. Operating across stacks, including backend, frontend, and embedded systems, we're committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers.

The team own and build large-scale distributed systems with among the largest QPS in Verkada. As a backend engineer in the team, you have the opportunity to work with top-tier engineers tackling the most challenging problems.

• →Lead the development of large-scale, high-performance backend systems.
• →Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain the software infrastructure for our cloud camera products.
• →Optimize and enhance the performance of existing software components.
• →Mentor junior software engineers.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields.
• 4+ years of professional experience as a software engineer.
• Familiar with at least one of C++, Python, or Golang.
• Strong background in scalable backend design, with the ability to make sound design decisions.
• Familiar with common cloud-based technologies and services.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week
