Feed Mill Technician- La Rue

The Feed Mill Tech is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the feed mill, including receiving, processing, and distributing feed ingredients. This role is vital in maintaining the quality and safety of feed production, contributing to the overall success of Trillium Farms.

• Learn and manage material flows for receiving ingredients, reclaiming, grinding corn, mixing, and routing finished feed.
• Operate equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Assist with annual corn bin cleaning in preparation for the new harvest.
• Inspect and maintain daily Feed Mill Building and Grounds Keeper logs for accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all internal and external feed safety and site safety policies, regulations, and procedures.
• Promote a workplace culture aligned with Trillium’s Guiding Principles and Core Values.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Ability to lift 60 lbs repeatedly.
• Comfortable working at heights up to 185 feet and in confined spaces.
• Ability to pass a respirator exam for respirator use.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Flexibility in work hours, including potential overtime.

• Prior experience in a feed mill, grain handling, or agricultural processing facility.
• Knowledge of feed safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Mechanical or equipment maintenance experience.

• The role involves working in a feed mill facility, including exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
• Requires physical labor, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
• Compliance with all safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
