The Senior Director, General Counsel Asia (not including Greater China or India) is the senior leader for legal operations in Asia, responsible for driving the department’s efficiency, managing strategic initiatives, and aligning legal support with Vertiv’s global business objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead Asia legal operations, including legal, compliance, and governance functions. Oversees all legal matters, including commercial contracts, M&A, litigation, and corporate governance.
- Acts as a strategic advisor to the Asia President and to the Chief Legal Officer, and Asia senior management
- Build scalable processes to improve legal team effectiveness.
- Represents legal operations in cross-functional leadership discussions.
- Identifies, manages, and mitigates legal and regulatory risks affecting the business.
- Leads and develops the in‑house legal team and manages external counsel.
- Supports business strategy by enabling informed, risk‑balanced decision‑making.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required;
- 15+ years experience in legal operations, business operations, or legal leadership.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead at a global scale and influence across functions.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT
Up to 25%.
