Accounting Team Lead - German Speaking (w/m/d)

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes in accordance with IFRS and Local GAAP, ensuring timely and accurate reporting

• Oversee GL, AP, and Intercompany (IC) activities, including booking, payments, and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with group policies

• Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed on time and drive the timely resolution of open items

• Coordinate and support statutory audits and tax filings across international entities, including IFRS to Local GAAP bridging

• Own and manage intercompany processes, ensuring alignment across entities and resolving discrepancies efficiently

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., controlling, tax, treasury) to ensure smooth financial operations and alignment on accounting topics

• Drive continuous improvements, standardization, and automation of accounting processes and internal controls

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, providing guidance on day-to-day activities and fostering accountability

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus

• 6–8 years of accounting experience with strong exposure to GL, AP, and intercompany processes

• 2–3 years of experience leading or mentoring a team

• Working experience with HGB is highly preferred, IFRS is nice to have

• Experience with ERP systems (preferably NetSuite) and strong Excel skills

• Full professional proficiency in English and German (both written and spoken)

• Structured, detail-oriented, and proactive working style

• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and focus on process improvement and automation
