As a Strategy & Operations Principal, you will lead and optimise on-the-ground operations, ensuring top-quality service for Via’s partners and passengers across the UK. You will shape operational strategy, tackle complex challenges, and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive growth. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a leader who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Responsibilities

- →Identify and solve problems in real time, coordinating with on-the-ground teams and cross-functional partners to keep operations running smoothly
- →Drive strategic initiatives with external partners and internal teams, using insights from active services to improve processes and shape the future of our service
- →Oversee core and field teams, fostering a collaborative, cohesive, high-energy culture.
- →Collaborate with teams across Via, including Strategy, Product, Partnerships, and Operations, to improve scalability and operational excellence
- →Recommend strategies that balance service quality, efficiency, and SLA commitments
- →Analyse data, track key metrics, and prepare reports to inform decisions, optimise resources, and continuously improve performance
- Entrepreneurial operator: equally comfortable setting strategic direction and rolling up your sleeves to execute. You are motivated to take full ownership to improve and drive your services forward every day.
- Stakeholder-savvy: able to lead discussions and explain complex concepts to any audience, as well as navigate intricate customer, regulatory, and operational relationships.

- Data-informed operator: you uncover trends and use insights to improve operations and outcomes
- Agile and adaptable: you thrive in fast-paced environments, navigate change with enthusiasm, and step in hands-on when needed
- Experienced: bring 6–10 years of relevant experience that informs your decisions, whether from startups, tech, consulting, finance, or other industries
- Problem solver and executor: you don’t accept the status quo, are detail-oriented, action-focused, and can manage multiple priorities effectively
