Design, develop, and maintain robust backend APIs and services focused on payment processing, billing, and end-to-end checkout experiences

Integrate and manage third-party payment providers and gateways, ensuring seamless, reliable, and secure transaction flows

Optimize payment infrastructure for high performance, scalability, and security while handling large volumes of concurrent transactions

Collaborate cross-functionally with frontend, product, and customer support teams to continuously improve the user experience and resolve payment-related issues

Play a key role in building our own managed payments platform, creating deeply integrated, automated, and scalable payment solutions for our customers

Strong expertise in backend development, particularly in payment processing, billing systems, or checkout flows

Proficiency in at least one backend language (we use Golang and TypeScript)

5+ years of experience in backend engineering, ideally with hands-on involvement in payment and billing integrations

Experience in working with payment gateway APIs (e.g., Stripe, Adyen, Braintree), checkout systems, or subscription billing platforms

A solid understanding of NoSQL databases, caching mechanisms, and message queues

Knowledge of data security and compliance standards, including PCI-DSS and best practices for handling sensitive payment data

Being comfortable in cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP) and familiar with Docker and Kubernetes

The ability to communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and approach problems with ownership and attention to detail
