Our Property Services team plays a vital role in ensuring our buildings remain safe, welcoming and fit‑for‑purpose for residents, clients and staff.
We are now seeking three Maintenance Officers to join our Property Asset Management team. If you’re proactive, customer‑focused and experienced in facilities maintenance, this role offers variety, autonomy and the chance to make a meaningful impact every day.
Responsibilities
~1 min readYou’ll coordinate and complete maintenance activities across designated VMCH sites, acting as a key contact for facilities matters. Your day will include:
- →Coordinating contractor inductions and supporting preventative/reactive maintenance
- →Managing reactive work orders for building fabric, finishes and fixed assets
- →Monitoring and reporting asset downtime through PAMS (CMMS)
- →Completing, closing and signing off maintenance events and schedules
- →Conducting asset condition audits, tagging and monitoring
- →Providing ad‑hoc site support, including spot cleaning when required
- →Building strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, suppliers and residents
- →Ensuring compliance with VMCH policies, safe work practices and legislative requirements
- Background in building and facilities maintenance
- Knowledge of fire systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security and lighting
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent time management and ability to juggle competing priorities
- Current unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence
- Problem‑solving skills and a calm, practical approach
- Experience in Aged Care or Retirement Living (highly regarded)
- Trade qualification
- Experience using a CMMS
- Exposure to BMS or AV systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
