Certified by the Top Employer Institute 2026. ## Role Purpose/Business Unit: This person will be responsible for running the Vodacom head office companies end to end finance function. ## Your responsibilities will include: Budgeting * Design and lead with the overall budget, forecast and long-range plans for all the above companies. This includes ongoing rolling forecast processes. * Alignment to the strategic priorities of the company to ensure the financial targets are in line with expected outcomes. * Lead and facilitate budget presentations and discussions with senior executives, as well as the Vodacom Group CFO and CEO. * Present budgets at a board/trustee level for YeboYethu and Siyanda companies. * Ownership of the budget overspend and transfer process, including implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures. * Positively contribute to continuous savings initiatives for all companies. * Lead with the overall management of budget execution, monitoring and risk management thereof. * Manage and take ownership of all budget data in the Hyperion Financial Management tool, as well as the planning system/s for all the above companies. * Continuous and regular engagement with senior stakeholders within the company for budget requirements and tracking. * Lead with variance analysis and commentary on the above companies including standard management reporting, as well as Exco and shareholder requirements. * Lead with fit for growth and other key budget initiatives within the above companies as required. * Digitally transform the reporting within the function. * Develop and maintain various robust budget models. * Supporting departments to identify, analyse, validate and implement remedy actions based on trends and variances. Reporting * Lead and take ownership of month end, interim and financial year-end procedures in accordance with the financial calendars. * Lead and take ownership of the overall accounting data for all the above companies. This includes inter alia Opex, Capex, Interest, forex, hedging, investments, impairments, share transactions (BEE/FSP), Accounts receivable and payables, debt, preference shares, revenue, dividends as well as intercompany. * Primary liaison for various audit functions (internal and external) for the above companies. * Compile and manage various company–wide requirements including inter alia BEE reporting, ageing reports, VIP restatements, statutory packs, financial certifications, bonus calculations. ## Financial Operations – Including Group Recharges * Principal accountant for the above companies on the SAP & HFM systems, including SAP “FDS” overall approver (Financial Decision Support) for all intercompany transactions. Take full ownership of accounting for the above companies within SAP & HFM. * Design, manage and take ownership of cost centers for all companies. * Manage the overall cash flow accounting for the above companies. * Approve journals & Cadency recons for above companies. * Continuously design, implement and manage overall controls for Yebo Yethu and other small companies. * Administer control over accounting within the overall delegation of authority for all companies. * Manage the overall priority of payment accounting for the Yebo Yethu Company. * Calculation & monitoring of various financial covenants for the above companies. * Manage the Intercompany loading and confirmations for all the above companies. * Lead with account mapping and correct reporting on SAP and HFM for all the above companies. * Management of overall debtor collection and creditor payments of the above companies. * Manage the various dividend cycle payments and accounting. * Lead and manage deliverables with a number of inter-divisions such as Group Tax, Group Treasury, Group Organizational Effectiveness, Finops, Company Secretarial and other divisions. * Lead with modelling the overall cross recoveries with subsidiaries. This includes management and key involvement into recharge methodology and agreements, board approvals, transfer pricing risk management, as well as debt collection. * Manage and lead with all foreign transactional banking for the Kenyan entity. * Manage the finance relationship with Vodafone Group for INCA, SAMS and VSOL costs. ## Projects/Others * Support various transfer pricing risk management initiatives within the Group * Lead with and manage all project accounting within the above companies, including the accounting implementation of M&A projects. * Prepare and lead with solvency and liquidity projections and calculations for the Group and other boards. * Assist the boards/trustees and senior management with regular and ad-hoc financial information as required * Control the delegation of authority for financial transactions for the Group Company and design, implement and control the DOA for the smaller companies. * Design and lead with the extension/implementation of SAP or other accounting systems for new companies. * Develop and continuously enhance various complex models to assist with higher quality of data and more efficient budgeting and reporting. * Develop and maintain positive relationships with a large base of internal and external stakeholders. * Manage financial operations (outside of department) deliverables with regards to support provided to above companies. * To positively contribute as a key member towards improving and developing the implementation of financial policies, procedures and systems of internal controls. * Co-manage together with the IFRS division, the timely and accurate preparation of the Annual Financial Statements and other statutory reporting requirements for the above companies. * Lead as the key person of the above companies with all projects including the overall enhancement and streamlining of the division. ## * Provide deep insight and overall responsibility into payroll cost management and accounting whilst upholding confidentiality thereof. This includes the management of assignee accounting. * Manage adherence to applicable company policies, internal controls, SOX, internal & external audit. * Manage the implementation of new IFRS requirements and accounting policies for the above companies. * Assist the Group CFO and or Managing Executive with key ad-hoc initiatives as required. * Lead with problem solving for all matters in the division, including conflict resolution. * Lead with management of staff within the division as well as continuous enhancement of the overall division. * Lead with and manage certain key agreements, as well as compliance thereof. * Key person for all finance support within the above companies. ## The ideal candidate for this role will have: * Relevant post graduate degree B Com Hons or CA (SA) preferred, B(Com) or similar degree essential. * Advanced Excel; proficiency in Power BI / digital analytics tools. * In depth knowledge of head office companies. * HFM, SAP & Hyperion Planning experience essential. * Shared service revenue –recharge/modelling experience preferred. ## Core competencies, knowledge, and experience: * Problem solving and decision-making skills * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Interpersonal skills, team player * Decision and results-driven * Ability to manage conflict * Strong accounting skills * Accounting system experience * Minimum of 8+ years’ relevant experience post articles with a strong background in financial reporting * Minimum of 8 years relevant industry experience, preferably gained in a fast-moving multinational environment. * Experience in financial and business information analysis and reporting ## We make an impact by offering: * Enticing incentive programs and competitive benefit packages * Retirement funds, risk benefits, and medical aid benefits * Cell phone and data benefits, advantages fibre connection discounts, and exclusive staff discounts offered in collaboration with partner companies Closing date for Applications: 23 July 2026.
