VSC Fire & Security in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking candidates for the position of Deficiency Specialist.

Requirements

  • One to three (1-3) years of industry related work experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, including design, installation, operation, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with local and national fire codes and regulations, such as NFPA standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze deficiencies and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare detailed reports and interact with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Eagerness for professional development and growth.
  • Ability to pass various background checks.
  • Reliable transportation, valid State Driver's License with acceptable driving record for use of company vehicle.
  • Desirable (but not required):
    • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
    • Experience in conducting inspections or assessments of fire protection systems.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for administrative and accounting tasks for managers and department staff.
  • Responding to telephone inquiries, develop quotes, project and contract processing, accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable and collections. May also handle purchasing and receiving procedures.
  • Supports division or department sales activities as needed.
