VSC Fire & Security is seeking candidates for the position of SVP/Regional Manager.

Requirements

  • Industry-related work experience with prior management experience in fire protection, life safety or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, building codes, and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated success in P&L management, strategic planning, contract negotiation, and operational oversight.
  • Ability to train, coach, and develop managers and employees.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and business management software.
  • NICET III or IV certification preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned region.
  • Ability to conduct site visits and navigate various work environments, including confined spaces, scaffolding, and elevated work areas.
  • Must pass a drug test and security screening as required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to Division Managers to ensure strong operational and financial performance. 
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow revenue, enhance profitability, and improve service delivery.
  • Cultivate relationships with existing and potential clients, ensuring superior customer satisfaction and fostering business expansion.
  • Assist Division Managers in securing and negotiating contracts while ensuring competitive pricing and service quality.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute regional business plans, aligning with company objectives.
  • Oversee profit and loss (P&L) management for the region, ensuring budgetary compliance and cost control.
  • Monitor job profitability, work progress, and adherence to contractual commitments through data and reporting metrics.
  • Ensure adherence to industry codes, standards, and best practices, including fire protection regulations and local building codes.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and development opportunities for Division Managers and their teams.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and offer coaching to support career growth and goal achievement.
  •  Assist in workforce planning, including hiring, disciplinary action, and employee retention strategies.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement within the region.
  • Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety policies and procedures at all levels of operations.
  • Promote safety awareness and compliance with training programs, certifications, and industry regulations.
  • Work closely with safety officers and leadership to mitigate risks and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Travel required: 70%
  • May require work beyond regular business hours as well as out of town assignments.
