ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for an experienced Superintendent to work on jobs in the Peninsula and throughout California, who thrives in fast‑paced environments and takes ownership of every phase of the project. You’ll lead and supervise all aspects of assigned Retail Big Box projects from mobilization through punch list and demobilization — ensuring safety, quality, and clear communication every step of the way. WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Manage day-to-day field operations from startup through closeout
• Coordinate trades, inspections, and material deliveries
• Drive the project schedule, including weekly lookaheads and meetings
• Ensure quality, safety, and compliance across all jobsite activities
• Lead daily huddles, foremen meetings, and safety meetings
• Resolve field issues, conflicts, and design challenges
• Partner with the Project Manager on costs, change orders, and scope
• Maintain all project documentation in Procore (reports, RFIs, photos, logs)
• Oversee subcontractor performance, site cleanliness, and punch list completion

• Keep projects moving by proactively planning and managing schedules
• Identify and resolve issues early with clear, direct communication
• Run a safe, organized, and compliant jobsite
• Build strong relationships with crews, subcontractors, and project teams
• Stay on top of documentation—accurate, timely, and organized
• Lead with accountability and represent the company professionally

QUALIFICATIONS

• 6+ years of construction experience in a supervisory role
• Strong working knowledge of all trades and the ability to read/interpret plans and specifications
• Prior experience as a foreman or journeyman preferred
• OSHA 30‑hour certification (or equivalent)
• CPR & First Aid certified
• Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
• Advanced proficiency in MS Project or a similar scheduling tool
• Beginner to intermediate experience with Procore or comparable platforms
• Strong understanding of digital documents, images, and related tools
• Retail project experience is a plus, but not required
