Position Description:

We are looking for a Construction Inspector to join our Construction Team in our Traverse City office. The candidate must have a High School Diploma and a minimum of two years of experience. Concrete & Density Testing and MDOT inspection experience are preferred. A valid driver's license is required. The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills.

Conduct field inspections

Record inspection daily reports

Monitor construction operations

Measure completed work and calculate pay item quantities

Act as the on-site liaison with client and community

Organize and maintain construction documentation

Develop an understanding of plans and specifications

Operate testing equipment

Assist Project Manager with contract requirements

Prepare forms and other paperwork in a timely manner

Attend seminars and/or training courses

Maintain excellent client relations

Maintain a safe working environment

High School Diploma

Concrete and Density Testing certification preferred

MDOT inspection experience preferred

Valid Driver’s License required

This position requires computer knowledge, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as documentation skills at all levels.
