• Approve training/seminars and memberships with annual budget and coordinate with other Area Leads within the market segment.
• Manage Utilization and Projects in Trouble.
• Approve time sheets.
• Review proposals including the scope, schedule and fee and assign as needed.
• Monitor client satisfaction.
• Manage pricing strategies to drive profitability of market.
• Identify strategic growth opportunities for market segment.
• Chair regularly scheduled discussions to coordinate business development and operational issues.
• Responsible for market segment sales and budget.
• Requires exceptional interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in networking within the consultant and client communities.
• Strong people and team-building skills to effectively communicate with clients and other staff.
• Highly motivated, organized, and able to interpret technical data and perform technical writing.
• Technical Leadership & Engineering.
• Serve as the technical lead and engineer of record (as applicable) for substation projects.
• Lead the planning, design, and engineering execution of distribution and transmission substations for utility and energy clients.
• Oversee development and review of:
• Substation layouts, elevations, and general arrangements.
• High‑voltage equipment specifications and selection.
• Protection & control philosophies, schematics, wiring, and relay settings (as applicable).
• Grounding, lightning protection, and auxiliary systems.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet client standards, regulatory requirements, and industry codes (IEEE, NESC, NEC, NFPA, local utility criteria).
• Perform and/or review technical studies including short‑circuit, grounding, equipment ratings, and protection coordination.
• Provide senior‑level QA/QC review of calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports prior to issuance.
• Lead or support client meetings, design reviews, and technical workshops.
• Translate client needs into clear scopes, assumptions, and deliverables.
• Provide engineering judgment and recommendations, including alternatives analysis, constructability input, and cost/schedule impacts.
• Assign work, provide technical guidance, and ensure deliverables meet quality, schedule, and budget expectations.
• Support development of standard details, specifications, templates, and best practices.
• Contribute to building and maintaining a high‑performing consulting team.
• Knowledge of Power Distribution, Transmission, and Substation required
