We love great coffee. That’s why we’re building an alternative coffee industry that actually works. For both farmers and consumers.
How? By working directly with farmer groups around the world. We set up transparent, traceable export lines, roast the beans ourselves and sell the coffee straight to customers. So no unnecessary middlemen or resellers. Those short supply chains make sure farmers always get a good price.
You’ll find us in 21 (and counting) bars across the Netherlands, and online through our own platform. For customers, that means freshly roasted specialty coffee that’s easy to access, relatively affordable and just seriously delicious.
We are building the new coffee brand of the 21st century with a team of like-minded innovators from all over the world. And we’re looking for you.
We're looking for our first dedicated finance hire: a Finance Manager who takes ownership of how we close, report, forecast and fund the business as we scale toward 50+ stores and our Series B.
Today, finance sits with our founder. This role exists to change that: to run a tight monthly close, give us cash and margin visibility we can trust, and build the reporting and tooling that lets the whole team see their own numbers. It's hands-on and broad: you'll go from journal entry-level detail to the financial model, to finance strategy and the investor data room, often in the same week. If you want to build a finance function rather than maintain one, this is it.
You'll report directly to Lukas (Founder) and work closely with our accounting specialist, our external accountants and our S&OP team.
What we offer:
A key role in a fast-scaling impact company, with a real path to grow as we head toward Series B and 50+ stores
The chance to build the finance function from day one
A monthly salary between €4,500 and €5,500
After your first year, the opportunity to share in the upside through our participation plan
A team of 120+ impact-driven colleagues from 30+ countries
Direct access to our coffee producers and the full coffee value chain
And of course, unlimited good coffee

~1 min readWhat you’ll do:
Own the monthly close end-to-end: draft management accounts by WD+5, final by WD+8
Produce the management reporting pack: P&L, gross-margin bridge, opex, headcount and KPIs, with variance commentary
Deliver a monthly per-store P&L pack
Maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow, refreshed weekly
Run the monthly COGS-to-GL reconciliation so our margins are trustworthy
Oversee the AP/AR cycle (run day-to-day by our accounting specialist)
Build the annual budget with the founder and keep a rolling quarterly forecast
Support the founder in building and maintaining the central financial model
Help produce the quarterly investor reporting pack and keep an always-on data room ready for due diligence
Put numbers behind the big calls: store openings, pricing, hiring plans, capex
Give store managers, ops, S&OP and marketing self-serve dashboards for the KPIs that matter
Define a single source of truth for company KPIs: who owns what, how it's measured, target vs actual
Automate at least one manual recurring report or process each quarter (Odoo, BI tooling, scheduled exports)
This is a role for someone who wants to build, not babysit. You're as comfortable going into accounting detail as you are sitting in the model, and you're excited by the idea of shaping a finance function from scratch in a fast-growing, mission-driven company.
A strong analytical finance foundation, built in one (or a mix) of: transaction services or financial due diligence; M&A or corporate finance; startup fundraising; PE or growth equity; or financial controlling
Roughly 2–5 years of relevant experience, depending on background
Genuine excitement about building a finance function from the ground up and choosing impact and ownership over a corporate paycheck
Happy to roll up your sleeves on the bookkeeping, not just the strategic finance modelling
Fluency in English (Dutch is a plus)
Nice to Have
~1 min readRetail, hospitality or FMCG exposure
Familiarity with Dutch GAAP
Experience preparing a data room or running a DD process
Having built finance tooling, BI dashboards or automation
Hands-on ERP experience (we run Odoo)
