Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Manage the employee lifecycle for Fulfillment Center, Logistics, and Regional employees from onboarding through offboarding, including orientation, performance management, corrective action, and terminations.
- →Serve as the on-site People Partner Generalist for NJ sites with regional support across NJ and Boston, providing daily HR support across benefits, payroll, attendance, policies, compliance, and employee relations.
- →Support implementation of corporate-wide policies, procedures, systems, and initiatives, including change management efforts such as WMS implementation and operational growth initiatives.
- →Provide coaching, direction, and counsel to frontline managers and supervisors to proactively anticipate, prevent, and resolve a wide range of HR issues; independently lead investigations and employee relations cases and escalate as needed to the Senior Manager, Employee Relations.
- →Manage workers’ compensation cases from incident through resolution in partnership with vendors, insurers, and the Insurance & Risk Manager.
- →Partner with site leadership to drive employee engagement and retention initiatives for frontline teams and reinforce leadership expectations around fair and consistent people management.
- →Identify trends in employee relations, attendance, safety, and turnover; proactively assess risk and recommend practical, business-aligned solutions.
- →Deliver, coordinate, and track required training to ensure compliance with local, state, OSHA, and company requirements; provide individual and group training on HR policies, procedures, performance management, and leadership capability.
- →Support program management efforts including Supervisor Trainee Program coordination, development plan tracking, compliance initiatives, and process improvement.
- →Answer and assist site leadership and regional teams with general HR questions and requests while ensuring compliance and consistency.
- →Assist with HR reporting, documentation, case tracking, and compliance records to maintain accurate and organized HR operations.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of HR Generalist or People Partner experience in field-based, multi-site, fulfillment, logistics, or operational environments.
- Experience managing day-to-day HR administration including employee relations, workers’ compensation, compliance, onboarding, and performance management.
- Working knowledge of employment law and OSHA requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to support hourly and frontline workforces in fast-paced operational settings.
- Strong communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance empathy and firm, fair decision-making.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, especially in case documentation and compliance tracking.
- Self-starting, resourceful, and action-oriented with the ability to operate independently while knowing when to escalate.
- Comfortable in high-growth, fast-moving, and sometimes ambiguous environments.
- Ability to travel 20–30% across NJ and Boston; Tuesday–Saturday schedule preferred or one weekend day required.
- HR certification (SHRM-CP or PHR) preferred.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish or Mandarin) preferred
