Utility Billing Accountant

• Location: Position will be based in Richmond, VA
• Schedule: Monday – Friday
• Hybrid position – some remote work with 2 days in office per week
• Reports To: Utility Manager

• →Calculating and processing resident water/sewer charges on a monthly basis
• →Assists in identifying and resolving utility billing discrepancies
• →Communicate with vendors and onsite property teams to resolve utility issues
• →Enter utility (water/sewer, gas and electric) invoices into payable system
• →Assist with monthly financial statement review including review of the general ledger and processing month end journal entries
• →Special projects and other duties, as assigned by Utility Manager

Qualifications:

• →Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• →Exceptional attention to detail
• →Proficient with Microsoft excel and using formulas
• →Excellent communication and overall computer skills
• →Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Accounting knowledge and experience is a plus

Pay: $53-58k depending on experience and accounting knowledge
