Tamil Music Content Specialist | Remote | India

Welo Data is looking for a Tamil Music Content Specialist to support a global music content project for a leading consumer technology company. In this role, you will review, edit, and validate Tamil music content, ensuring lyrics, metadata, and artist information meet quality and editorial standards before publication.

• Employment Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 12 months (with possible extension)
• Location: Remote (India)
• Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–9:30 PM IST (40 hours/week, including a 1-hour unpaid lunch break)
• Compensation: INR 650,000 per year

• →Review, edit, and quality-check Tamil song lyrics and metadata.
• →Synchronize lyrics accurately with audio and verify timestamps.
• →Validate song titles, album names, artist credits, genres, release dates, and language tags.
• →Identify and correct metadata inconsistencies, duplicate records, and content errors.
• →Ensure all content complies with project guidelines and quality standards.
• →Conduct research to verify music-related information using reliable sources.
• →Collaborate with local and global teams to resolve quality issues and improve workflows.

• Native-level fluency in Tamil and full professional proficiency in English.
• Strong knowledge of Tamil music, artists, albums, genres, and the regional music industry.
• Experience in music metadata, content operations, digital media, localization, editorial review, or quality assurance.
• Familiarity with metadata fields such as artist names, album information, track titles, composer, lyricist, genres, and release information.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies and maintain high accuracy while working with large volumes of content.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and web-based content management tools.
• Ability to work independently, manage repetitive tasks, meet deadlines, and consistently follow detailed style guides.

• Experience working with music streaming platforms, digital entertainment, or media content.
• Familiarity with metadata management systems or content management platforms.
• Experience using macOS is an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
