Responsibilities

→Comply with established patient care guidelines, clinic policies, procedures, and objectives.
→Maintain awareness of patient rights and confidentiality standards and adhere to communication policies appropriate to age-specific populations.
→Accurately obtain, organize, and record necessary patient data.
→Update patient records based on clinical information from physicians and nurse practitioners, including lab results and other documentation.
→Assist physicians, RNs, and nurse practitioners with procedures as needed.
→Perform day-to-day clinical operations under appropriate supervision.
→Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment for patients and staff.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved vocational nursing program.

Licensed Practical Nurse with a current license to practice in the state of employment.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (required for all new hires and transfers).

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work tactfully and professionally with patients, families, and physicians.
Ability to initiate patient visits with appropriate greeting and professionalism.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Proficiency in EMR navigation and documentation, including reviewing computer reports using evidence-based guidelines.
Ability to react quickly and appropriately in emergency situations.
