What’s the role?

An exciting opportunity is available for a Quality Engineer – Retail Banking Technology, to join the Technology, Chief Transformation Office. The purpose of the role is to Support functional testing and automation within Westpac’s Retail Banking Technology portfolio. Contribute to the 80% automation target by developing reliable test solutions across Web, API

This position is responsible for advancing automation maturity, performing API validations, and collaborating effectively within agile teams. Operate in Westpac’s mesh architecture and CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality coverage across distributed systems.

What do I need?

• Experience in functional and automation testing in enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in Selenium with Java, Playwright, or Cypress or the like
• Strong API testing skills including RESTful services and contract validation.
• Programming knowledge in Java, JavaScript, Typescript or Python.
• Experience with microservices testing and distributed systems.
• Agile delivery experience with active squad collaboration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems.
