What We Offer

✓Design and implement RESTful APIs in Java (Spring), using clean architecture and robust design patterns.

✓Build Python services and developer tooling for AI‑assisted and agentic workflows (code/test/doc generation, CI/CD integration).

✓Design, build, and operate IDMC pipelines (Cloud Data Integration & Application Integration) for customer master, data integration, and event‑driven interfaces.

✓Engineer for non‑functional excellence across reliability, security, performance, observability, and operability.

✓Collaborate effectively with engineers and stakeholders in complex project environments.

✓Adhere to Westpac standards and processes to meet regulatory obligations.

✓Apply an AI‑first approach to automate coding, testing, data mappings, orchestration, and documentation; orchestrate multi‑agent workflows with guardrails, policy checks, and evaluation metrics (e.g., code quality, test coverage, traceability).

✓Strong results in programming and application design.

✓Deep experience in designing, developing, and implementing RESTful APIs.

✓Expert-level proficiency in Java.

✓Proficiency with Git and Bitbucket.

✓Experience with Spring and Jersey frameworks.

✓Experience with AI agentic development.

✓Experience with Python, Informatica, Siebel or Cobol is highly desirable.

✓Computer Science (or closely related degree) with a major in software engineering or equivalent.
