As a Senior Commercial Credit Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting regional commercial and agribusiness customers across Australia by making sound, well-informed credit decisions. You’ll assess and structure transactions, approve credit within your delegation, and guide more complex deals through to approval, helping balance growth with risk discipline.
You’ll work closely with relationship and business teams, providing practical advice and insight on credit policy and risk appetite. At the same time, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio, proactively monitoring performance and identifying emerging risks early.
You’ll also lead a team of Credit Managers, supporting their development and creating a strong, accountable risk culture.
This is a fulltime/permanent role with flexible location across Australia (2 days in office), supporting our Regional & Agribusiness business.
You’ll bring strong commercial judgement and a practical approach to credit risk, along with the ability to lead and influence in a dynamic environment.
- Experience assessing and approving commercial lending transactions, ideally within business and agribusiness lending (essential)
- Strong understanding of credit risk, with the ability to structure deals, balance risk with customer outcomes and ongoing portfolio management (essential)
- Experience leading or mentoring others, with a passion for developing capability and building team performance (essential)
- Ability to interpret and apply risk policies and provide clear, practical guidance to stakeholders
- Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset
