This is a manager/senior level position and the single point of accountability for personnel security on the program. Reporting to the Program Director, the Corporate Security Officer serves as the program's primary point of contact with the Government's personnel security office on all security matters - personnel, physical, and the protection of all Government information and data accessed by the company. The role owns the end-to-end security vetting workflow: pre-employment screening, security application and fingerprint coordination, package quality control, access authorization tracking, separation reporting, and recurring active personnel reporting. Location: Remote Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as the program's senior security lead and primary liaison with the Government's personnel security office on all security matters, including personnel, physical, and information protection. Coordinate completion of all pre-employment screening before any security application is initiated to include citizenship/work eligibility, licenses and certifications, credit, criminal, education, and employment reference checks. Coordinate timely submission of security application packages and electronic fingerprinting within required timeframes, ensuring all required forms and releases are complete and accurate. Perform a quality control review of every security package before submission to reduce rejections and protect background investigation completion performance. Track preliminary fitness determinations and ensure no employee begins work, accesses sensitive data, or performs program activity until a favorable determination has been received. Prepare and submit the weekly security process report to the Government, listing each employee's name, submission date, and approval or removal status, and maintain backup documentation supporting each report. Administer Rules of Behavior, non-disclosure agreements, and Standards of Conduct certifications, ensuring all are completed within required timeframes and copies are provided to the Government as required. Manage credentialing requirements (e.g., PIV cards) for personnel accessing Government IT systems. Process separation and departure notifications within required timeframes and coordinate timely access removal. Compile and submit recurring active personnel reports on the required schedule. Manage continuous vetting enrollment for all assigned personnel and track and respond to continuous vetting alerts. Report adverse or potentially disqualifying information to the Government within required timeframes and coordinate immediate removal from duty when warranted. Maintain organized, audit ready personnel security files restricted to authorized users, and support internal audits and quality checks related to security package acceptance and resubmission. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 4 years of experience in personnel security, contractor security programs, HR compliance or federal investigations. Previous Facility Security Officer (FSO) or industrial security program management experience highly preferred. Experience supporting federal contractor onboarding, eAPP/NBIS-style security processes, fingerprint scheduling, public trust/suitability packages, or DHS-related training documentation highly preferred. Senior/manager level professional experience is highly preferred. Hands on knowledge of federal personnel security and background investigation processes including electronic security application systems (e.g. eAPP/NBIS), SF-85P/SF-85PS, public trust/suitability adjudication, and preliminary fitness determinations. Experience tracking compliance deadlines and managing detailed administrative records under federal requirements. Ability to handle highly sensitive personnel data (SSN's, background investigation data, fitness records) with discretion. Prior experience supporting DHS or HHS personnel security and onboarding programs is highly preferred. Experience with continuous vetting (e.g., Trusted Workforce 2.0) Experience supporting performance-based background investigation completion and staff readiness measures. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate and timely documentation and reporting. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams), SharePoint, and document control/secure data systems. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must be able to successfully complete required pre-employment screening and federal background suitability processing. Work Environment and Schedule: This position is primarily remote/or operations hub-based and requires regular use of computers, secure systems, phones, email, spreadsheets, and electronic documentation tools. The role supports deadline-driven operations and requires accuracy, confidentiality, responsiveness, and consistent communication with multiple teams. The schedule may vary based on operational needs, case volume, quality review requirements, reporting deadlines, and surge activity. Evening, weekends, holiday, extended-hour, or surge support may be required. Limited travel may be required for coordination meetings, fingerprinting oversight, training, audits, or operational coverage. Federal Contract Requirements: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment screening requirements, including background checks, drug screening, motor vehicle records review, reference checks and other job-related screening requirements. Employment is also contingent upon successful completion of required federal background/suitability review, favorable credit check, security processing, and program-specific onboarding before beginning work. Employees assigned to this program must complete required training, protect sensitive information, comply with standards of conduct, maintain professional boundaries, and follow all reporting, confidentiality, privacy, and information security requirements.
