## The team you will be a part of
The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.
## This role in summary
The Associate, Project Management is a position within the WPD System area, part of the broader Product Development organization. In this role, you will support the governance, measurement, and continuous improvement of how we develop products globally. While your foundation will be in tracking metrics, developing dashboards, and providing actionable insights for product development excellence, the true highlight of this position is pioneering the future of work at Whirlpool: you will play a critical role in embedding Artificial Intelligence (AI) into our PD processes. ## Your responsibilities will include
* Process Design & Continuous Improvement: Design, improve, and implement processes by developing and enhancing the WPD framework and project management methodologies. Actively drive and correlate these efforts with the organization's continuous improvement initiatives.
* Metrics Tracking & Dashboard Automation: Track and measure the deployment of the WPD process (assessing capability and quality) as well as project architecture and complexity. Develop, automate, and maintain real-time monitoring dashboards and standard reporting models..
* Knowledge & Competency Management: Manage the creation and maintenance of WPD content and training materials. Track the evolution, embedment of skills, and the effectiveness of training plans across the organization.
* Documentation & Platform Analytics: Maintain internal websites/platforms and manage documentation through AODocs. Utilize Google Analytics to capture user engagement insights, track progress, and improve knowledge accessibility.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Establish strong relationships with key cross-functional partners to capture, share insights, and gather data directly from the real Product Development environment.
* AI Integration & Process Efficiency: Identify opportunities to adopt and implement Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, specifically leveraging Gemini and Google Workspace, to automate manual reporting, streamline daily workflows, and build in-process efficiencies.
* Actionable Insights: Analyze project and process data, leveraging AI-assisted analytics where applicable, to create actionable early warnings and insights that quickly improve complexity, capabilities, tools, and overall WPD process adherence.
## Minimum requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Engineering, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field).
* Fluent in English.
* 1 to 3 years of experience (including internships or entry-level graduate experience) in project management, data analytics, product development, or a related field.
## Preferred skills and experiences
* Experience or strong interest in Process Design and Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies.
* Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications and generative AI tools (specifically Gemini and Google Workspace integrations) applied to productivity, process automation, and data analysis.
* Strong analytical mindset with the ability to connect data and tell a straightforward, insightful story. General experience with data visualization tools (e.g.Looker) is a plus.
* Fundamental understanding of product development processes and project management theories.
* Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills to effectively report findings and influence change within a cross-functional organization.
* Experience with website maintenance, document management systems (e.g., AODocs), and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
* Ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed environment, following work procedures while receiving guidance from senior team members.
