More information is available at www.india.whirlpool.in ## The team you will be a part of: The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation. ## This role in summary: Key Stakeholders: Project Leader, System Architect, Industrial Engineer, Procurement, GCD, Quality, Subsystem Teams, Site Leaders, Regional Marketing, Site Engineers, Build Planners * Experience of 3-4 years depending on scope of project Engineering & Technical Design Experience * Proven development and execution experience * Knowledge in given category * Project management * System design * System integration * PDP: Product Design Development, Production Process Development * Ability to work cross-functionally and influence others ## Your responsibilities will include: * Manage Cost & Quality of products for P4G Projects for India. * Ensure project development activities are completed on time, meeting all requirements, including cost, quality & performance, targets to support the project plans and project execution * Responsible for system level design/cost/quality/time trade-offs and technical decision making for issue resolution within the project/product plan guardrails * Technical design reviews for project to provide an assessment of whether the project is within the architecture/project/product plan guardrails by working with key development team members (e.g. Subsystem teams, V&V Strategist, Project Leader) and by consulting with key architecture development team members when necessary (e.g. System Architect, Subsystem SMEs, V&V Strategist) * Responsible to drive full system validation through use of predictive validation methodologies in concept, design and product validation stages * Manage/Release of EBOMs Basis P4G/Cost & Quality Projects. * Drive simulation of virtual prototypes and build of physical prototypes per V&V Plan * Document total expected variation to +/- 3 sigma distribution for each attribute * Document the revision of parts used in builds using baselines * Designate high contributing factors toward each function as a Special Characteristic * Drive the measurement and documentation of the special characteristics on physical prototypes * Drive closure of DFMEA action plans and updated Occurrence & Detection, based on Concept and Design ## Minimum requirements: Education: Graduate Experience: 3-4 yrs relevant experience in Refrigeration (Mechanical /Structural Design) Technical abilities: Creo/Windchill knowledge. ## Preferred skills and experiences: Technical skills: * Project Management Cost & Quality – Ability to lead/close multiple projects at the same time * Conceptual Analytical Skills * Cross-functional trade-offs between architecture function and form * Strong consumer orientation * Customer Centricity * Strong communication and presentation skills Soft skills Behavioural Aspect : * Ability to deal with ambiguity * Team player * Good energy level with positive attitude * Ability to work cross-functionally and influence others * Technical coaching abilities ## What we offer: N/A Connect with us and learn more about Whirlpool India.
