In order to fulfill its mission, WCHS is looking for exceptional teachers for School Year 2026 to 2027. We welcome applications from NYS certified teachers. Our teachers play very critical roles in realizing the core mission, philosophy, and unique youth-centered approach of the school’s educational design. Our supportive team of social workers and academic leaders work together to support teaching staff and students alike. Our teachers also act as advisors to about 15 students to ensure academic success.

• NYS Certification

• An ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues and co-teachers

• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field

• 2+ years of lead classroom teacher experience (excludes student teaching and serving as a teaching assistant/substitute)

• Experience with planning and/or teaching high school curriculum aligned with Common Core standards and driven by data
