This high-impact, project-based position is ideal for a versatile HR generalist thriving in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Reporting to the Head of People, you'll translate strategic direction into well-designed programs, tools, and processes, supporting our multi-market operations. The candidate should have strong experience across talent management, L&D, employee relations, benefits, compliance, and HR operations, with excellent program management and communication skills.
Operating within a COE + HRBP model, this role partners closely with HRBPs across 7 locations and 15 markets, supporting talent management, employee relations, leave, benefits, and compliance. Collaboration with the Director of Talent Acquisition on onboarding and workforce planning is also key.

Responsibilities

- →Learning & Development: Identify needs, design or source leadership programs, and manage professional development initiatives.
- →Talent & Succession Planning: Support talent reviews, identify high-potential talent, and assist with organizational design.
- →Engagement & Retention: Oversee engagement surveys, leverage data to inform initiatives, manage recognition programs, and support retention efforts.
- →Employee Relations: Standardize investigation processes, analyze trends, and support escalation management.
- →Leave & Benefits: Develop leave policies, ensure compliance, support open enrollment, and promote wellbeing programs.
- →Compliance & Policy: Conduct audits, maintain policies aligned with regulations, and update employment agreements.
- →HR Operations & Projects: Support offboarding, HR system projects, and leadership meetings, leading special initiatives as needed.
Requirements
~1 min read- 8+ years HR experience, with depth in talent management and broad HR functions
- Proven success in implementing talent programs and processes
- Knowledge of multi-state employment law (NY, NJ, CA)
- Experience in multi-location or COE/HRBP models
- Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills
- Proficiency in HR tech, data analysis, and leveraging AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot)
- Experience in retail, hospitality, healthcare, or distributed services (preferred)
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification (preferred)
Based in the NY Metro area, with options in Cranford, NJ; Farmingdale, NY; or Stamford, CT, plus two days/week at NYC headquarters.
