Working Student Drone Tester (40% average workload)

In this hands-on role, you will execute outdoor test missions with drones from our test fleet, collect data, and report your findings to the engineering team.

Prepare drones, equipment and execute predefined outdoor test missions

Document results and unexpected drone or app behaviour

Upload flight logs and other test data to feeding information back to engineers

Report issues in clear tickets and carry out follow-up tests with engineers

Drive to test locations around Zurich and occasionally further away or into the mountains

Possible to grow into various adjacent responsibilities; drone repair, develop test tooling (SW + HW)

Currently enrolled in a technical Bachelor’s programme, ideally in the early or middle stages of your studies

Valid Category B driving licence for Switzerland and confidence driving to rural or mountainous locations

Comfortable with outdoor work in changing weather and on varied terrain; remote work is not possible

Careful, reliable, and safety-conscious, with good observational and communication skills

Very good spoken and written English (B2 or better); German is an advantage

Comfortable learning and using new software tools

 No prior professional or drone experience required—what matters is a hands-on attitude, ownership, and willingness to learn

Hands-on experience with advanced drones and close collaboration with testing and engineering teams
