We are looking for a Billing Manager /Specialist to join our BSS (Business Support Systems) team. In this role, you will hold the keys to ensuring our end-to-end business-critical billing processes are executed with the highest quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery.

This is a vital position within the company. As part of the BSS team reporting directly to the Head of BSS, you will lead revenue assurance efforts, oversee day-to-day billing operations, and collaborate tightly with other departments to help optimize, automate, and scale our data pipelines. You will act as the key bridge connecting finance, sales, data engineering, product, and customer operations.

  • Manage and optimize the end-to-end billing cycle, ensuring that complex, high-volume transaction data is processed flawlessly.
  • Actively monitor, audit, and safeguard revenue streams to prevent leakage across our rating and charging systems.
  • Partner with Finance to streamline reconciliation, enable Sales with custom client setups, align with Product teams to refine pricing architectures, and assist Support in resolving customer billing inquiries.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve the scalability of our billing systems.
  • Manage the billing dispute and credit note process, investigating discrepancies and working with Support, Accounting and Finance to resolve issues fairly and swiftly.
  • Reconcile wholesale and partner costs (e.g., carrier network costs, satellite partner charges) against customer usage to ensure margin accuracy and prevent overbilling/underbilling.
  • You have proven experience with billing systems, revenue assurance, or managing complex financial data structures.
  • You have knowledge of automatic billing and pricing systems, including rating engines and managing high-volume transaction data.
  • You have an interest or background in billing product management, specifically, how price plans translate into actual offerings (such as IoT cellular data, Fixed Wireless Access, or satellite services like Starlink).
  • Familiarity with the telecom value chain, charging models, CDR processing, or TM Forum frameworks (eTOM, SID, TAM) is an advantage, but not a dealbreaker.
  • Basic SQL/scripting is welcome, but not required. Just bring a passion for learning data tools to optimize your workflow.
  • You are a self-starter who thrives when given autonomy and can drive projects forward without being micromanaged.
  • You can translate complex billing data into clear insights for B2B customers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • You are fluent in English, and proficiency in Norwegian is highly desired.
