We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Data Analyst to help improve the quality, accessibility, and usability of enterprise data. This role will partner closely with data scientists, business stakeholders, and data engineering teams to ensure data is accurate, well-structured, and readily available for analytics and modeling.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with critical thinking and business acumen. They are comfortable working independently, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and translating business needs into scalable analytical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and maintain data quality checks to ensure the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability of enterprise data.
  • Structure, transform, and prepare datasets for analytics, reporting, and advanced modeling.
  • Develop and automate recurring reports, dashboards, and data workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Partner with data scientists to understand modeling requirements and deliver clean, well-documented datasets suitable for analysis.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document analytics requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improving data quality and business processes.
  • Create and maintain documentation for data definitions, business logic, and analytical processes.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve analytical workflows.
  • Work cross-functionally with data engineering, analytics, and business teams to ensure alignment on data standards and governance.
  • Exercise independent judgment in prioritizing work, troubleshooting issues, and recommending improvements to data processes.

  • Conduct quality assurance activities to ensure new Snowflake based data sources and dashboard metrics match existing Athena and Big Query data sources and dashboards. 
  • Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports connected to Snowflake, ensuring data accuracy and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements and deliver data solutions to meet organizational needs.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for data sources, ETL processes, and reporting solutions.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with limited direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, validating, and transforming data.
  • Experience using Python for data analysis, automation, and scripting.
  • Experience developing automated reporting solutions and analytical workflows.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and data structures.
  • Experience performing data validation and implementing data quality controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and interpret business and analytics requirements.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and data engineers.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of version control tools such as Git.

A successful candidate will proactively identify data issues before they impact the business, automate manual processes, deliver trusted datasets for analytics and data science, and serve as a valued thought partner to both technical teams and business stakeholders. They will combine technical excellence with strong communication and sound judgment to improve the organization’s analytical capabilities.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Analytics Engineer, including hands-on involvement in data migration projects (e.g., from Athena and BigQuery to Snowflake).
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and strong experience with ETL tools and data pipeline methodologies.
  • Advanced Tableau skills, including dashboard development and reporting.
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization in Snowflake and Tableau environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of data governance and data security best practices.
  • Snowflake and/or Tableau certifications.
  • AI Use Case Development: Track record identifying opportunities for new AI/ML use cases through exploratory analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
  • AI Adoption Practices: Familiarity documenting and socializing AI best practices within an organization.
  • Technical English: Proficiency in reading, writing, and presenting in English within technical and executive contexts.
