SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll - Functional Specialist

We are looking for an SAP SuccessFactors Configuration Specialist – Employee Central Payroll to join our Human Resources Digital Services & Products team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for the steady‑state support and stability of U.S. payroll processing within SAP SuccessFactors. You will focus on operational readiness, issue resolution, and compliance while partnering with Employee Central and Payroll stakeholders. You will also contribute to enhancement initiatives and continuous improvement efforts as needed, planned around payroll cycles. This role partners closely with HR process and business stakeholders, translating defined business needs into scalable SAP SuccessFactors EC Payroll functional designs and configurations.

• →Sustain and support SAP SuccessFactors EC Payroll for US operations
• →Support payroll processing activities including validations, simulations, and post‑payroll activities
• →Investigate and resolve payroll errors and configuration issues, identifying root causes and recommending resolutions, escalating defects to SAP as needed
• →Support payroll‑related integrations including time, benefits, and deductions
• →Execute unit, integration, and parallel testing for fixes and changes
• →Maintain comprehensive documentation of configuration workbooks, functional specifications, process flows, and user guides for reference and audit purposes.
• →Support system upgrades and participate in release activities.
• →Adjust configurations for new releases, patches, and updates, implementing optimizations and enhancements as appropriate.
• →Evaluate new module capabilities and assess requested changes to recommend improvements that enhance user experience and process efficiency.

• 7–10+ years of hands-on SAP SuccessFactors experience, with deep expertise in in EC Payroll for US.
• SAP SuccessFactors Certification in EC Payroll with strong understanding of US payroll processes and compliance.
• Experience supporting production payroll environments.
• Proven expertise in SAP configuration tools, techniques, and best practices.
• Proven experience supporting SAP implementations and post‑go‑live environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve configuration issues.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills; ability to create clear documentation on complex SAP design topics.
• Ability to work effectively with global teams, coordinating work delivery between onsite and offshore locations.
• Familiarity with industry best practices for SAP SuccessFactors configuration and optimization.

• Experience with multiple end-to-end SAP SuccessFactors implementation projects, including global rollouts.
• Experience integrating payroll with time and benefits systems.
