Your role:

The role is within the Digital Supply Chain (DSC) team of WMG The DSC team comprises the systems and tools that ingest, process, schedule and deliver Warner’s pre-release and catalog digital assets, copyrights, and clearances to accounts at over 270 providers, such as Apple Music and Spotify.

The DSC is also responsible for the watermarking, fingerprinting and attribution technology that is used to claim, monetize, and track Warner assets in User Generated Content (UGC).

All told, the DSC plays a pivotal role in delivering and safeguarding the works responsible for the vast majority of Warner Music recorded music revenue!

This role will collaborate closely with our North American Engineering teams to synchronize strategies, processes, and objectives. This is a hybrid position that requires you to work onsite at our Bangalore office a few days per week. As a Software Engineering Manager you will serve as technical people leader where you are hands-on and involved in designing and implementing greenfield projects with your team.

End to end ownership of team deliverables and objectives

Set technical strategy and engineering best practices in collaboration with senior engineers

Provide active career development and technical guidance to engineers

Hiring, team building, and performance management

Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to ensure successful project management

You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related field

You’re a passionate engineering leader, with at least 2 years of experience leading engineering teams of 5 -10+ software engineers

You are hands on leader who writes code, conducts code reviews, and is involved in architectural design and strategy work

You have a deep knowledge of AWS or other large cloud computing environment
