Senior Frontend Engineer, Consumer Web Platform

Wolt is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to expand our Consumer Web Platform team. The team is part of the Consumer Product group and is responsible for enabling the delivery of the consumer web apps – most notably wolt.com – that millions of people in over 32 countries around the world see when ordering food and other products.

🤖 AI-First Engineering - What This Means Here

We're building teams at the forefront of agentic coding. This isn't about using Copilot to autocomplete boilerplate. We mean engineers who:

• →Design workflows where AI agents handle entire task loops, from spec to PR.
• →Think in terms of orchestration: what does a human review, what does the agent own?
• →Build internal tooling and abstractions that make AI-assisted development faster and more reliable for the whole team.
• →Stay curious and ahead of the curve - trying new models, agents, and tools as they emerge, and forming strong opinions about what's genuinely useful vs. hype.

• Proven expertise in building consumer-facing frontend applications, using TypeScript and React.
• Prior experience on a platform/infrastructure engineering team - owning things like CI/CD, release pipelines, observability, performance, or developer experience for a shared codebase used by multiple feature teams (not solely feature/product team experience).
• Heavy, daily user of AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Codex) - using agentic workflows for real feature/PR work, not just autocomplete.
• Able to lead and drive technical projects and improvements across an engineering organization.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to write efficient, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Experience working in larger engineering organizations, with the scale, process, and cross-team coordination that comes with it.
• Strong knowledge of browser rendering behavior and optimization strategies.
