Woodston Personnel are excited to offer an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Specialist with a background in oncology to join our client’s healthcare team in KSA. The Nurse Specialist in Oncology is an advanced clinical practitioner responsible for delivering expert nursing care to patients with cancer. This role involves assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care, as well as providing education, emotional support, and clinical leadership. The Nurse Specialist serves as a key resource for patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring evidence-based, patient-centered oncology care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced nursing assessment and management for oncology patients, including those undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, and palliative care.

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

  • Monitor patient responses to treatment, manage side effects, and adjust care plans accordingly.

  • Deliver specialized procedures and treatments within scope of practice.

  • Act as a patient advocate, ensuring patients’ needs and preferences are central to care decisions.

  • Provide emotional, psychological, and educational support to patients and their families.

  • Facilitate informed decision-making by explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and potential outcomes.

  • Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, symptom management, and self-care strategies.

  • Provide training and mentorship to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals in oncology care.

  • Participate in the development of educational materials and programs.

  • Work collaboratively with oncologists, pharmacists, allied health professionals, and community services.

  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and policy formation.

  • Act as a clinical leader and role model within the nursing team.

  • Participate in clinical audits, research activities, and evidence-based practice initiatives.

  • Implement best practice guidelines and contribute to ongoing service evaluation.

  • Support clinical trials and ensure adherence to protocols where applicable.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with regulatory and organizational standards.

  • Ensure compliance with infection control, health and safety, and professional guidelines.
