Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Perform field investigations to locate underground utilities using electromagnetic locating equipment and GPR systems
- →Interpret data to determine utility type, depth, and alignment
- →Mark utilities on-site using industry-standard methods and practices
- →Document findings and maintain accurate records of utility locations and field activities
- →Conduct routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of locating equipment
- →Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and utility owners to verify and communicate findings
- →Support project planning and execution by providing accurate subsurface data
- →Maintain organized field notes, reports, and supporting documentation
- →Stay current on utility locating technology, tools, and industry best practices
- →Assist with training and mentoring less experienced team members
- →Follow safety procedures and quality standards at all times
Requirements
~1 min read- Approximate travel will be 60% local and 40% out of state
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often on uneven terrain
- Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
- Ability to frequently lift up to 40 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
- Ability to safely operate field tools and equipment (shovels, measuring devices, etc.)
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Ability to travel and work overtime as needed
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3+ years of related experience in utility locating or similar field
- 1+ year experience using electromagnetic locating equipment and GPR technology

- Ability to read and interpret technical data and field information
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for data entry, documentation, and communication

- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions
