• →Perform field investigations to locate underground utilities using electromagnetic locating equipment and GPR systems
• →Interpret data to determine utility type, depth, and alignment
• →Mark utilities on-site using industry-standard methods and practices
• →Document findings and maintain accurate records of utility locations and field activities
• →Conduct routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of locating equipment
• →Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and utility owners to verify and communicate findings
• →Support project planning and execution by providing accurate subsurface data
• →Maintain organized field notes, reports, and supporting documentation
• →Stay current on utility locating technology, tools, and industry best practices
• →Assist with training and mentoring less experienced team members
• →Follow safety procedures and quality standards at all times

• Approximate travel will be 60% local and 40% out of state

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often on uneven terrain
• Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
• Ability to frequently lift up to 40 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
• Ability to safely operate field tools and equipment (shovels, measuring devices, etc.)
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Ability to travel and work overtime as needed

• High school diploma or GED required.

• 3+ years of related experience in utility locating or similar field
• 1+ year experience using electromagnetic locating equipment and GPR technology

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical data and field information
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills for data entry, documentation, and communication
• Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks in a field environment
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions
