Job Title: Masonicare Resident Delivery Intern
Department: Office of Community Engagement
Student Employment Type: Federal Work-Study        
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate delivery requests and ensure timely, accurate delivery of resident orders with appropriate tracking.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, nursing staff, and other departments to facilitate smooth delivery operations.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, accessibility, and resident experience of the delivery program.
  • Participate in the testing and evaluation of new processes, procedures, and service enhancements.
  • Collect feedback from residents and staff to support continuous program improvement.
  • Assist with inventory awareness and coordination between the Convenience Store, Gift Shop, and delivery service.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information and adhere to organizational policies and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to resident needs in a courteous, respectful, and timely manner.
  • Support special projects and administrative tasks related to the delivery service initiative.
Qualifications:
  • Current enrollment in a program related Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Management, Public Health, or a related field preferred.
  • Past experience in retail, customer service, food service or delivery services preferred, but not necessary.
  • Interest in working with older adults in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
  • Positive, creative, and dependable
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to follow directions, work as part of a team, and assist with light program setup.
Hours of Position:
  • Flexible schedule arranged with the supervisor around the student's class schedule; hours may vary based on department needs and approved events.
