The WPP Media team adopts a collaborative and customer-centric approach in delivering high-value and innovative solutions for our agencies and clients, including the activation and execution of dynamic media campaigns.

We are currently looking for an Associate Manager, Performance (Social) to join us. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end campaign management process to support WPP Media agencies and clients. Working closely with internal teams and directly with clients, you will ensure seamless campaign planning, execution, and delivery.

This role reports to the Head of Social.

  • Become knowledgeable about the client’s business, ways of working, key client teams, internal teams, and brand objectives for 20–21
  • Seamlessly run operations on biddable platforms such as Google, Facebook, and Twitter, and understand and implement tracking and tagging processes on Google Campaign Manager, MOAT, DAR, etc.
  • Understand client processes and liaise with market planners to shape media plans on a monthly or as-needed basis
  • Develop a clear understanding of reporting requirements and ensure timely reporting to enable effective decision-making
  • Regularly attend weekly/monthly calls with internal teams and clients, providing status updates on local market plans, highlighting issues or best practices, and sharing next-step recommendations where relevant
  • Engage regularly with the Search team to share learnings and build cross-platform strategies
  • Establish effective ways of working with planning teams and become the go-to person for all biddable requirements, working with both internal (local markets and global MC) and external (global client) stakeholders
  • Stay on top of live campaigns across markets and share industry best practices or optimization suggestions to further improve performance
  • Connect with platform teams (Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) on a weekly/monthly basis to discuss performance, resolve issues, learn about new alphas/betas, and plan to achieve best-in-class results for the brand
  • Continuously build test-and-learn frameworks across platforms, ensuring tests reach significance and that learnings and next steps can be clearly communicated to clients
  • Regularly liaise with internal planning and performance teams to share positive results or recommend new properties as part of learning and scale-up plans for other markets
  • Build trust and confidence among all relevant stakeholders, including global and local client teams and in-market teams
  • Guide planning teams on campaign outputs and prepare and present media recommendations for ongoing client communication plans to senior global clients for approval and feedback
  • Exceed client KPIs across all campaigns and help grow the business by suggesting new ideas and services to biddable and market leads

Responsibilities

  • Work across all aspects of the biddable business for clients
  • Manage campaign operations, analyze live campaigns regularly, raise alerts in case of issues, and recommend new products or optimizations
  • Ensure gold-class campaign delivery by following excellence frameworks and brand best practices
  • Learn to work across multiple markets and cultures while building strong relationships with agency and client teams across the region and globally
  • Understand client objectives and recommend appropriate biddable plans based on briefs
  • Lead biddable operations for the Japan business and effectively manage and optimize campaigns in line with budgets, targeting, and bid strategies to achieve KPIs
  • Analyze competitor activity and monitor industry/category trends to recommend the right course of action
  • Contribute to campaign strategy from a biddable perspective
  • Join weekly/monthly calls with internal client teams to review campaign performance and align on recommendations
  • Deliver timely reporting across all biddable platforms, including Facebook, Google, Twitter, Campaign Manager, and Analytics, to support decision-making by market teams and clients
  • Share regular updates on new products or strong campaign results with the broader team so learnings can be adopted across markets

Responsibilities

  • 3–4 years of operational experience across biddable platforms
  • Google Ads and Facebook Blueprint certifications are a plus
  • Experience managing high-volume campaigns across Facebook, Google, and Twitter, including campaign tracking using Google Campaign Manager, MOAT, DAR, Nielsen, etc.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of best-in-class digital marketing practices
  • Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and ability to translate data into insights and actions
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to liaise across different market teams in APAC
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
