About the Role
~1 min readThe APAC Operations Director will focus on six areas, working continuously with OpenDoor leaders to ensure success across each aspect for OpenDoor in APAC.
- Own the APAC financial operations strategy, driving improvements in financial health, controls, accuracy, and process compliance across all markets.
- Establish governance frameworks and performance standards across billing, revenue recognition, PO management, commission reconciliation, and financial reporting processes.
- Partner with Global Commercial and FinOps teams to ensure consistent adoption of global standards, controls, and SOX requirements across APAC.
- Lead resolution of significant financial operational risks, trends, and recurring process failures.
- Own the regional operational improvement roadmap, identifying opportunities to simplify, standardise, automate, and scale operational processes.
- Ensure operational processes remain fit for purpose and aligned to evolving business and client requirements.
- Sponsor cross-functional initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce operational risk, and strengthen governance.
- Act as the regional escalation point for complex operational challenges requiring structural or process change.
- Establish and monitor operational performance measures across APAC, including financial compliance, workflow adoption, PBR performance, and operational service quality.
- Lead regional operational reviews, ensuring actions, risks, and opportunities are actively managed and resolved.
- Drive accountability for adherence to agreed operational standards, policies, and ways of working.
- Provide operational performance reporting and insights to regional and global leadership teams.
- Lead APAC participation in global transformation programmes, operational initiatives, and platform deployments.
- Prioritise and oversee regional operational projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities.
- Coordinate cross-market delivery of operational change programmes and process improvements.
- Ensure project outcomes are effectively embedded into business-as-usual operations.
- Partner with market and regional leaders to identify capability gaps, onboarding requirements, and opportunities to improve operational maturity.
- Support implementation of consistent onboarding, role clarity, and operational standards across markets.
- Build strong relationships with regional stakeholders to ensure Operations remains aligned to business needs while maintaining global consistency.
- Lead and develop the APAC Operations team, setting clear priorities, objectives, and performance expectations.
- Coach and support team members to build capability, drive accountability, and encourage continuous improvement.
- Allocate resources and workload to ensure effective delivery against regional and global priorities.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture focused on operational excellence and stakeholder partnership.
Requirements
~1 min read- Strong experience in media, business operations, financial operations, or operational leadership roles.
- Good understanding of media agency functions, delivery models, and financial processes.
- Proven track record of driving operational improvement, transformation, and organisational change.
- Experience implementing governance frameworks, controls, and performance management processes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior leaders.
- Excellent project and programme management capabilities.
- Outstanding communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
