Grove Creek Medical Center is looking for compassionate, dependable, and motivated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our growing Obstetrics team.

The Obstetrics CNA provides direct patient care and support within the OB Unit under the direction and supervision of the charge nurse and OB leadership.
This position assists with patient care, communication, unit organization, supplies, and clerical responsibilities while helping maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for patients and families.
The CNA will also have the opportunity to learn and assist with Operating Room functions, providing valuable exposure to surgical services and additional opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Provide direct patient care within the CNA scope of practice
- Assist patients with comfort, mobility, personal care, and other daily needs
- Respond to patient and family needs with compassion and professionalism
- Communicate patient needs and changes appropriately to the RN and charge nurse
- Help create a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for patients and families
- Assist RNs and the OB manager with patient care and unit operations
- Keep nursing staff informed of patient progress, supply needs, and potential concerns
- Assist with clerical and basic computer-related duties
- Maintain appropriate levels of medical and office supplies
- Keep the unit clean, organized, and prepared for patient care
- Assist with maintaining regulatory and hospital standards
- Learn to assist with Operating Room procedures and workflows
- Participate in quality assurance activities
- Complete required education and training
- Remain flexible as patient needs and department priorities change
- Continue developing your clinical and professional skills

Requirements
~1 min read- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Current Idaho CNA certification required
- BLS certification required; training provided by the organization
- NRP certification required; training provided by the organization
- Basic computer skills
- Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Basic mathematical skills
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work effectively with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team
