Mid-Level Frontend JavaScript Software Engineer (Hybrid)

As an employee at X-Bow,  you will serve a critical role in helping us execute advanced technology projects and programs for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), other government agencies, commercial customers and internal R&D initiatives. We are seeking a talented and motivated Frontend JavaScript Software Engineer (Mid-Level) to join our development team. You'll be responsible for building responsive, scalable, and maintainable web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks. You should have a solid foundation in frontend development principles, care deeply about user experience, and be comfortable collaborating with designers, backend engineers, and product stakeholders. As a key member of a small, dynamic, and highly skilled team, you will be expected to actively collaborate with others as well as work independently to accomplish assignments and responsibilities successfully.

• →Develop and maintain user-facing features with clean, well-documented JavaScript (ES6+)
• →Translate UI/UX design wireframes into high-quality code
• →Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• →Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• →Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• →Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless functionality
• →Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices
• →Debug and resolve performance and usability issues
• →Collaborate with QA engineers to write testable code and verify application behavior
• →Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and propose their adoption where appropriate

• 3–5 years of professional experience in frontend development
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including ES6+ syntax and best practices
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design
• Proficiency in one or more frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular
• Experience with version control systems, especially Git
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling (e.g., fetch, axios)
• Familiarity with frontend build tools such as Webpack, Vite, or similar.
• Ability to write unit and integration tests using tools like Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress
• Comfortable working in agile teams using tools like Jira, GitHub/GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
• Must be a US Persons as defined by § 120.62 of the ITAR
